Big the Musical - Auditions

Audition Information Session

We will be hosting an information session on big the musical on Saturday 19th Junefrom 3pm. This will include fun drama games and activities, singing warmups, basicdance choreography and we will be showing the film 'big' so you can familiarise yourselfwith the style and themes of the show. If you'd like to stay for the movie, you cancontribute $5 for snacks and dinner.

Audition Dates

Auditions will be held on Wednesday 23rd June 6.30-9pm and Saturday 26th June10am-3pm. If you are unable on both these dates, contact us to discuss.


The audition process will include singing one of the set songs, with a quick assessment ofyour vocal range; reading and acting some short scenes or doing improvisation activities,and learning a short piece of dance choreography.


We will have an introduction session to present scripts and pay membership andproduction fees on Sunday 11th July from 12noon to 2pm, then rehearsals will officiallycommence on Wednesday 14th July.

UpStage - Orange 'Musical Theatre Workshop'

UpStage Information

UpStage returns to Orange! Following the success of last year, Orange Regional Conservatorium in collaboration with UpStage NSW is excited to welcome back the UpStage Musical Theatre Workshop.


Built with the aim of bringing high-quality music, dance and drama education to the Central West, UpStage is a high-quality, fun, engaging day that will inspire and empower your young performers.


Sessions will include Performance Skills, Voice, Drama, Dance and the Business of Theatre. Younger performers (aged 8-14) will develop their confidence in age-appropriate, fun, collaborative performance classes while older performers (15-18) will participate in tailored, small-group sessions focused on building a career as a performing artist. All participants will get to create a group performance for parents that showcases the learning they’ve done throughout the day.

Date: Sunday June 27 9am - 4pm

This year there are also observer tickets available for $15. Observer tickets give parents, family members or friends of participants the opportunity to watch selected classes throughout the day.
