Arts Out West

Promoting, facilitating, educating and advocating for arts and cultural development for the communities of the Central West NSW.

Regional Arts Australia

Regional Arts Australia is the key national body representing the broad and complex interests and concerns of those working with and for the arts in regional, rural and remote Australia.

As an advocate, Regional Arts Australia has achieved significant results over the last three years in winning better recognition and support for the enormous contribution that regional arts make to the cultural, economic and social wellbeing of the nation. As a project initiator and manager, Regional Arts Australia has become an important partner in equipping regional artists, artsworkers and communities to meet the special needs and challenges that accompany arts practice, arts promotion and audience development in the regional and rural sectors.

We cover all stages, from Broadway to professional theatre at home to community and school theatre.

Australian Stage

Australian Stage Online seeks to offer current information concerning the performing arts in Australia

Theatre Australia

Theatre Australia is Australia's largest and most active theatre website. You are actively encouraged to join in, so make yourself at home, this is your website. If you find something missing, have a suggestion, a question, an answer, an event to promote or an idea to share, then it is up to YOU to let us all know. Please use this space as a place to discuss your work, promote your products and debate the performing arts scene. Don't hesitate to ask questions!

By working together to promote each other's work, we build a culture of participation in the performing arts that will yield benefits for us all. Remember we all thrive on each other's considered contributions, generous praise and thoughtful criticism.

This website is a proud initiative of the Independent Theatre Association - promoting the performing arts and building community participation in theatre.

Canberra Area Theatre Awards

Since their inception in 1994, the Canberra Area Theatre Awards have become a part of the theatre, dance, school theatre, theatre restaurant and musical scene in Canberra and the surrounding districts.

The aims are to:

  • Provide recognition of the enormous contribution made by non-professional groups to the artistic life of Australia and, in particular, of Canberra and the region

  • Encourage individuals in the performing arts

These aims are pursued by making public awards that recognise and reward the stand-out achievements during the year in performances put forward by our regional theatre companies for consideration by our Judging Panel.
